We Are
Responsible Growth Coalition
Our aim is to preserve the livability, scenic beauty, and uniqueness of Jackson Hole by encouraging Teton County’s community to make responsible transportation planning decisions. Solutions should be based on reliable current data and analyses and be consistent with our community’s safety, environmental, and wildlife core values.
Responsible planning should not prioritize developing an automobile-centric transportation infrastructure. Instead, we should envision a future that includes substantial investment in multimodal solutions that consider emerging technologies and new social paradigms.
Jackson Hole is an experience. It's a beautiful place to be and we must protect this special community for current and future generations of residents, visitors and native species while nurturing our very important visitor-based economy.

We Believe
Responsible Growth Coalition seeks to preserve and protect Jackson Hole’s ecosystem and unique open spaces in line with the Comprehensive Plan’s mission, by publicly vetting and justifying each road capital project.
Great transportation policy embodies four principles:
analyze
The best transportation policy decisions are based on facts and thorough analysis of complete and up-to-date traffic data. The public and elected officials must identify and assess all of the benefits and detriments to the community before proceeding.
evaluate impact
Any new transportation project must be evaluated for potential negative impact on the safety of those who live, walk, and bike nearby, as well as damage to the environment and harm to our abundant wildlife.
explore alternatives
All reasonable alternative solutions should be evaluated before any recommendations are made to expand or build new roads.
inform and engage
The community should be informed of and understand the implications of specific transportation capital projects and their input should be sought and meaningfully considered
At Issue
There are several potential initiatives proposed by the Town of Jackson and Teton County that should be fully understood by our community.
Solutions
With proactive, innovative long-term thinking, our community can create a viable transportation system that minimizes impact and prioritizes alternatives to expanding the road network.
